Love the pictures. I was at my daughter's for the holiday and they have a 6 month old kitten.
One broken, loved ornament -- the kitten can jump higher than they realized. All loved breakables in the middle of the tree from now on.
Challenging gift wrapping, as the cat was in the boxes, on and under the paper. Best not to do this on the floor.
Surprisingly, once the presents were under the tree, the cat left them alone, though he may have been tuckered out as it was very late when we accomplished that. But after all were open, it was hard to find him under all the discarded wrappings.
He definitely brought laughter and joy to the holidays.
Happy New Year to all.

We had cats who would insist on climbing the tree, from the time it was brought into the house to the day it was carried horizontally out to the curb.
I don't think any of them ever broke anything though.
And, yes, the game of spot-the-cat-under-the-Christmas-wrapping continues. How many times have I done the dance and urgled the merry tune. "Yoiks! AKKK!" goes I.
Then there was the black cat who insisted on eating Christmas ribbons.

The cat looks really fierce. Me -- I'd let her keep the box a little longer.

Christmas must puzzle the animals.
I give them lovely treats at this time of year. French pate. Fish.

Again, I enjoyed the post. Throughout the years, all of out cats acted as described. (I do't recall any of the 3 dogs at Christmas, so maybe they acted otherwise.
One statement is not applicable to our house. The wrappings were placed in the trash after each unwrapping. Nothing else was taken down and put away until January 6.

I'll admit I leave some Holiday boxes and wrapping around in the corners ... just because the animals do like it.

I've seen cats wiggle into small boxes, but that photo is something unusual. I wonder if the other end of the box was open. :-)
