All the Wenches are madly busy at the moment, with books to finish and travels to take, so I volunteered to post some of my travel pictures from various places.
Here's a gorgeous display from the Larco Herrara Museum in Lima, Peru.
Here's a view of Koracula on the Croatian coast on the Adriatic sea. Our cruise ship, L'Boreal, is moored at the dock.
Kangaroos chowing down at a lovely animal sanctuary north of Melbourne. Anne Gracie took us there.
Onward to Passau. Germany! The Cathedral of St. Stephen (very popular saint in these parts) has the largest cathedral organ in the world, and passengers on my Viking riverboat cruise were privileged to hear a magnificent half hour long recital that showed the full glory of the instrument.
This is a view of Green Island, Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, Australia. We were floating at the end of a very long cable looking down at the island. At the other end of the cable, on a motor boat, were two extremely hunky Aussie guys making sure their passengers survived the experience. <G>
Here's an ancient carved bed in a very old colonial house in Lima, Peru.
I love this picture of giant lily pads in a lagoon of the might Amazon, the "River Sea."
This is me at the Acropolis. Can you tell I'm pure tourist?
And here is a glorious sunset on the Okavango Delta in Botswana. A trip, and an image, to remember!
I hope you've enjoyed this brief album of places I've been!
Mary Jo, a born tourist and proud of it! It's in the DNA....
