Sherrie, here. Sparky continues to grow like a weed on steroids, and new aspects of her personality keep emerging. The latest is her behavior at mealtimes. She's normal when eating dry kibble, but give her canned food and she turns into Frankenkitty, often growling and slapping the floor with her paw, as if to ward off potential food thieves.
Which is ironic, because Sparky herself is the biggest food thief in the house! I dare not leave my food unattended, or when I return, it's to find Sparky buried up to her eyebrows in my supper. There's nothing like returning to the table to find the straw missing from your water glass and kitty footprints on the rim, or find her slurping up the last bite of food on your plate! Here are some recent pictures of her finishing off, respectively, water, cake, and Brussel's sprouts.
And after Sparky has stolen my supper, the little thief then steals my chair. She's decided she likes my big overstuffed recliner, and after sitting on her accidentally a few times, I've learned to look before plopping down. She may grumble when I remove her from the recliner so that I can sit, but the grumbles soon turn to purrs when I let her sleep in my lap! One thing's for sure: there's never a dull moment when Sparky is in the room!
