Lauren, we were absolutely delighted that you stopped by to visit with us in January. It's a Word Wench tradition to thank our esteemed guests with a suitable present—and since the gift is a virtual one, price is no object. So, in keeping with the recent trend to bestow a small country retreat on our HWWs—I mean, a girl needs a quiet place to write, right!—I am giving you the Taj Mahal. Feel free to invite all your Indian friends from "Betrayal of the Blood Lily" for a long weekend. The Wenches would love to join in too! We'll bring the curry. But please, no snakes!
Darling Wenches, thank you so much for my new Indian country cottage! I shall treasure it always in memory of my time with you-- and hope you'll come over for a combination of curry and ratafia sometime soon.
What excellent timing, too. Today is the official 5th anniversary of the Pink Carnation series (Pink I came out on February 7th, 2005), so this serves as a dual purpose gift!

Forget the ratafia. This celebration calls for champagne—pink champagne of course! A cyber toast to lots more Carnations blooming on the bestseller lists.
