Anne here, dropping in to report a fun variation on the giveaway following my interview with Carla Kelly. The winner of Carla Kelly's Harlequin Regency Christmas Anthology was Kristal Shepherd, drawn at random by our very own Sherrie. As it happened Kristal's home was a 90 minute drive away, and on the way to Carla's son's home so this Christmas, Kristal got a wonderful surprise, a personally delivered book from Carla herself.
Carla sent us the photo. That's Kristal, holding the book.
Isn't it that a lovely Christmas gesture?
Thanks for letting us share, Carla.
Wow! What a wonderful thing to do! See... that's why I love romance writers.

It's brilliant, isn't it? Sherrie and I were so thrilled when Carla told us that's what she was going to do.

Thanks again Carla and Word Wenches. I really enjoyed visiting with Carla; we had a lot to talk about. She even invited me to stop by her house sometime when I'm in her part of the state!

Yep, you're quite welcome here anytime, Kristal. The bathroom and laundry room have been remodeled now, and the guys will start on the living room on Monday. Another three weeks, and we'll have an actual house, rather than a virtual one.
