This is Pat, checking in because Typepad just changed a bunch of things that's crashed Jo's post. She really does have some cool pics from the conference to put up here, including a group photo of the International Wenches. But we're working on East Coast time and Sherrie is on Pacific and Typepad is running its own world. So check in throughout the day and see what we've managed to get past Typepad!
Jo wanted to know if any our readers were at the literacy signing Wednesday night and what was your reaction to it? I just know it was immense and noisy and if the number of books flying off the tables means anything, we should have raised a huge amount of money.
So far, the conference has been fairly laid back. We're all enjoying the lovely weather, the wonderful restaurants, and the company. Today, the conference kicks into high gear--so watch out!
Mary Jo here, also at RWA in DC. It's been a great conference so far--a generally very fine hotel in a very fine city and if it's a little on the warm and humid side--it could be a lot worse.
The literacy signing was the usual happy zoo, and I met a couple of our Wench regulars. (Keira, Susan/DC, are you out there???)
Yesterday I did a session with my friend and Honorary Word Wench Pati Nagle on the topic of "Hot Vampires, Demon Slayers, and Enchantresses: The Many Flavor of Fantasy." The first thing I did was warn people that the material presented was going to be less racy than the title. *g*
Time to go and find some lipstick for breakfast with my most excellent agent...

I've been following events on blogs and Twitter, like a puppy with her nose pressed against the window. I've already checked out the conference hotel for Nashville, which looks fabulous. I hope to be there to sign books myself next year! I have a May debut release, and another book coming out sometime in the summer. Squee! Have a great time, Wenches. Can't wait to see the pix.

I've actually managed to get the blog up. Finally. It's messy, but there.
Thanks so much, Pat, for filling in.

I so wish I could have gone. Maybe some year I'll get to attend as an awestruck fan, but not the stalker type, I promise.
