We're thrilled to welcome Anne Gracie as a new Word Wench! Her first book, Gallant Waif, was published in 2000 and was a RITA finalist. Since then, Anne has collected a large and devoted following.
Her most recent book, His Captive Lady, was released in September. It garnered 4 1/2 stars from Romantic Times and is an RT Top Pick and K.I.S.S. award winner.
Anne's life has been varied and fascinating. She's backpacked around the world and sung in a band, climbed glaciers and kept bees, been a school teacher and swum most of the famous rivers in Europe by the time she was eight. She lives in Australia with her dog, her bees, and her feather boas, but has also lived in Scotland, Malaysia and Greece.
Anne is immediate past president of Romance Writers of Australia, having served 2 years as president and 6 years on the committee.
Anne's first post will be tomorrow, 10/27, so please drop by and say hello. (Keep in mind that Anne is in a different time zone--she's a day ahead of us here in the U.S.)
Welcome aboard, Anne!

Hey Anne! Here's one of your large and devoted following signing in, very chuffed to see you in such esteemed company but not surprised in the least.
Can't wait to read His Captive Lady! And be back to check out your blog tomorrow.

Yay Anne!
I won a book from you once and you mailed it to me from Australia. It was so cool, (My husband usually gets the mail and looked at the package with this "you got a what? From where?" sort of expression as he sorted out the mail.)

Anne!!
I'm so glad to see you're an official Wench (though the Honorary wench is a great thing too)
I can't wait for your posts. You know how much I enjoy your writing.
I'm trying to get ready for RWA's GH and as soon as I'm done with that and can sit back and relax, I'm going to re-read The Stolen Princess and then His Captive Lady (which I'm looking at as I type) and I'll let you know what I 'see' ;-)
I'm glad you're here :D

Hello, Anne. Lovely to see you here!
His Captive Lady was a terrific read; I was sucked in right away, but then I am a sucker for tales of damsels struggling against distress. I am really looking forward to the next Devil Riders book.

Everybody is at least a day ahead of me, LOL. Love your writing,Anne, and am thrilled you're the newest Wench. I look forward to your words of wisdom. (and your next book---His Captive lady was wonderful---what's next?)

Thanks Margay. I'm thrilled to be a wench.
Waving to Eleni who I met in Sth Australia, and to my buddy, Presents author, Trish Morey.
Romsfuulynn - books arriving in the post is such fun, isn't it? I order a lot of books in these days and I love my post.
Theo, the best of luck with the GH. As for 'seeing'... umm.. ok. For the others, Theo always sees things in my books that I didn't know were there and didn't plan -- but she's spot on. Scary stuff!
Tal, thanks. It's great to know you enjoyed the books. Janice thank you too -- I know you've read all my books, so that's a real compliment.
And Maggie, with the time difference where I am, I'm always a day ahead in some ways, and a day behind in others
Thanks everyone, it's lovely to have such a warm welcome.

Welcome, Anne! What amazing talent on this board. Janga and Manda brought your books to my attention. Since they are women of fabulous tastes, I followed their lead to yet another fabulous author.
