From Pat Rice:
Anyone who is signed on to our newsletter list (and one of these days, we will actually start sending an occasional newsletter!) and who posts a comment before midnight of September 11 will be eligible for a drawing to receive a copy of MAGIC MAN, plus a limited edition sparkly cover that never made it onto the book. I'll announce the winner in next Tuesday's blog. Let's start talking!
Addendum: this goes for all comments to all posts during that time period. We have a tracking list. Sherrie will check the newsletter list since I don't have a master copy. If you indicate you're signed up and she doesn't see your email on there, she'll let you know. The winner will be drawn from a magic slipper. "G"
How do I find out if my sign-up for the newsletter "took"? The site was having hiccups at the time I registered for it.
Or am I ineligible anyway because I just won a book?

Tal, it "took." You are on our newsletter list. ~Sherrie

Anyone who posts a comment where? Here? or on one of the other topics? I guess I'll just have to post both places to make sure I get it right. I've got a copy of Magic Man and loved it (I'm reading the series backwards) but I'd love to have an autographed copy and the sparkly cover.
I think I signed up for the newsletter but I'm not sure. Did I?

I know I signed up a few times for the newsletter and then never got one so I figured it didn't work. Anyway, I hope this qualifies me for the book!!!

"Wench Pat! Wench Pat! Pick me. Pick me," the littlest wenchling cried bouncing up and down to see over all the others.

I also am unsure if I'm signed up. I get jo's newsletters-I'll sign up again if needed.Re the CBK- I bought my daughter's just before the mania hit-we still have Minda Regan, but my daughter actually looked like a cabbage Patch doll- I have a picture of her at one year and she really does look like one. I always thought I should have sued for copyright infringement:)LOL . Jo- I have an attic full of my daughter's old toys- stuffed animals to Barbies- she would never let anything be thrown away. They were all alive to her, and to throw them out would have been an act of betrayal.I'm glad she was an only child, or my attic would be even worse.

I didn't have children during cabbage patch madness - I actually remember congratulating myself on that point when observing the scenes of retail carnage at the time. But I did have children - more to the point, sons - when the beyblade madness hit, and a very great deal of money, patience, time, and effort went down that black hole. I shudder to think what irresistable toy trend will next decimate by TBR book budget.

Hi, peeps. I'm wearing my administrator hat. Just wanted to let everyone know we're still collecting names for our newsletter list, but a newsletter hasn't yet been done. *g* For the past few months the Wenches have been dealing with deadlines, conferences, speaking engagements, book signings, galley proofs, holidays, families, life ...
Once they coordinate 7 busy schedules and collaborate on producing a newsletter, we'll make a big announcement on this site. In the meantime, unless you experienced a glitch while signing up, assume you are on our list. Glitch victims can send me a message off-list at [email protected] if you think the system burped and your sign-up didn't go through.
As I said, if you didn't experience any glitches, assume you're on the list. (Denise, you *are* on the list) Also, if any of you have changed e-mail addresses since you signed up, please let me know your new address (off-list) as well as your old one.

I don't know if I signed up for the newsletter, but I'll try again. Please add my name to the drawing. Thanks!
