Susan

Happy Christmastide! It's a lovely way to extend Christmas through the week and past New Year's as well.

We have new and old traditions at our house -- every year from their births, I've given each of my sons a new Christmas ornament, so they'll have a set of ornaments for their own homes someday. When they were younger, I gave each one a new children's Christmas book as well, so we have a great collection. And I always set out my grandmother's tiny hand-crafted gold tinsel tree with its miniature presents and ornaments; there's Christmas baking using my French grandmother's recipes, and I always make my mother's spinach and cheese casserole (sooo good) for my dad (just did so last night).

Happy holidays, everyone!

I held 3 parties this year. Yesterday's was the last. Thanks goodness I'm done! Merry Christmas everyone!

Susan, I have given my children an ornament each year, also. I treasure the ornaments I have from my childhood. Every year I make a coffeecake from my mother's recipe, very simple, but we all like its taste. Merry Christmas to all the Wenches and Readers!

Jo Beverley

I do wish I'd bought or made decorations for our sons like that. It's a lovely idea.

Happy Christmas,

Jo

Ella Quinn

Merry Christmas to you all.
